Praveen Shettigar is Chief Technology Officer & Head – Tendering at HCC. He brings over 29 years of extensive experience in tendering, project execution, risk management, project controls, planning, and methodology across a range of infrastructure projects.
Mr. Shettigar rejoined HCC from Tata Projects Ltd, where he served as Vice President and Head – Tendering for Heavy Civil Infrastructure, Buildings, and Airports. In this role, he was responsible for reviewing engineering and planning aspects of tenders, finalizing bid prices, and presenting project risks and opportunities to the management. He also played a critical role in project controls for large-scale projects—monitoring time and cost slippages, revising project schedules and cost forecasts, and implementing catch-up plans aligned with recast baselines.
Earlier, Mr. Shettigar was associated with HCC as General Manager – Tendering at the Head Office, where he was involved in bid preparation, coordinating with design teams and consultants, attending pre-bid meetings, and developing cost estimates, construction methodologies, and schedules.
He began his career as a site engineer with Afcons Infrastructure Ltd, gaining hands-on experience at project sites.
Mr. Shettigar holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from TKIET, Warananagar (Maharashtra) and has completed a certificate program in Commercial & Financial Skills for Strategic Business Decisions from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
